Refinance Line Instructions

This easy Quick-Start guide is all you need to perform your system setup however it is strongly recommended that you review all materials provided by Arch Telecom prior to using the system.

All operations are performed from the Main Menu

  • Dial your toll-free number
  • Press * (star) when you hear the greeting
  • Enter the initial default password provided on your welcome letter
  • You are now in the Main Menu
    (You may back up one Menu level by pressing * or press ** to return to the Main Menu)

There are three possible configurations of the Refinance Line (REFI):

  • REFI set up as its own mailbox with an extension off of a Powerline (the most common)
  • REFI set up as an option 12 within each extension on a Powerline
  • REFI set up as a Standalone system with its own 800 number

If you have a Stand Alone system you must record an Initial Greeting that the caller will hear before accessing the survey. If your system is configured with your Powerline 800 number, no additional Greeting is necessary.

Callers to a REFI that is set up as an extension must enter that extension number (for example ext. 900) to access the survey. Callers to a system set up with an Option 12 can press 12 at the master greeting or after any recorded extension (listing code). Stand Alone HAL systems will ring directly into the HAL survey.

Greeting Setup
Only users who have Stand Alone systems need to record Initial Greetings.
From the Main Menu

  • Press 9 - Personal Options
  • Press 1 - Greetings
  • Press 1 - Change Greeting

Zero Transfer Setup
From the Main Menu

  • Press 9 - Personal Options
  • Press 5 - Call Routing
  • Press 1 - Configure Zero Transfer

Retrieving a Call Detail via the Internet
To view or download your calls over the electronically:

  • Access the Arch website at www.archtelecom.com
  • Click on the link: Web Reports
  • Click on the link: Refinance Line
  • Input your account information and click the Get Report button

Request Fax of New Responses
From the Main Menu

  • Press 8 - Manage your survey
  • Press 7 - Receive a Fax of Your New Calls
  • Enter the 10 digit fax number where you would like your report sent

Retrieve Recorded Messages
For calls where the caller left a voice response indicated by a "Y" in the "V" column (the second column) on the call detail fax you may request the recorded question response by:
From the Main Menu

  • Press 8 - Manage Your Survey
  • Press 1 - Retrieve Recorded Responses
  • Enter the response number you want to listen to followed by #

Request Other Information By Fax
From the Main Menu

  • Press 8 - Manage Your Survey
  • Press 7- Request Fax Of New Calls
  • Enter the 10 digit fax number where you want report sent

Configure Current Interest Rate
From the Main Menu

  • Press 8 - Manage Your Survey
  • Press 6 - Listen To Or Change Current Interest Rates
  • The System will announce the current interest rate. You may at that point enter the new interest rate that you would like to use followed by # or press * (star) to keep old interest rate or press # to use the national average interest rate updated weekly.

Custom Question Prompts
IMPORTANT: The Refinance Line allows you to record your own voice over any of the standard "stock" recorded questions. You must maintain the integrity of the question-the custom recorded question must solicit the same answer that would have resulted from the "stock" question. The system's algorithm formulates responses based upon the sequence of scripted answers. If you would like to change the questions so the responses vary from the stock recorded questions, please call Arch Telecom. Customized set up fees may apply.

  • Press 8 - Manage Your Survey
  • Press 2 - Record Custom Question Prompts
  • Press 1 - To Listen to the current prompt for a question enter the desired question
    number followed by #

Erasing a Custom Question Prompt

The script for the Refinance Line is as follows:

Question# Prompt

  • Thank you for calling the Refinance info line. This service provides you with information about refinancing your current home mortgage.
  • You will need to know the original term of your current mortgage, the original loan amount, the current balance and interest rate on your mortgage, and how long you've had your current mortgage.
  • If you have this information handy, press 1. Otherwise, press 2
  • Please call back when you have the necessary information.
  • Please enter the original term of your loan in years, followed by #
  • Please enter the original loan amount in dollars, followed by #
  • Please enter your current mortgage balance in dollars, followed by #
  • Next, you will need to enter how long you've had the mortgage in years and months. For example, if you've had your mortgage for 4 and a half years, you would enter 4 years and 6 months.
  • Enter the number of years you've had your mortgage, followed by #
  • Enter the number of months you've had your mortgage, followed by #
  • Next, you will need to enter your current interest, leaving out the decimal point. Press # when you are done. For example, 8% would be entered as 8#. 9 and a quarter percent would be entered as 925#. 7 and a half percent would be entered as 75#. Enter your interest rate now, followed by #.
  • Enter the number of years of the term that you'd like for your new mortgage, followed by #.
  • Enter the number of years that you plan to stay at your current home, followed by #. If you plan to stay indefinitely, just press #.
  • Based on the values you've entered, your new monthly principal and interest payment would be <xxx>
  • Which is an increase of <xxx>
  • Which is a decrease of <xxx>
  • Dollars a month. This amount does not include insurance, taxes, or other amounts that may be added to your monthly payment by the lender.
  • At the end of <x>
  • Years, your total savings as a result of the refinance would be <xxx>
  • Years, your total loss as a result of the refinance would be <xxx>
  • These results are only an approximation based on the information you provided. A personal review with a loan officer can provide a complete analysis based on your personal circumstances and the lending plans currently available.
  • To be immediately transferred to our office to speak with a loan officer, press 0. To repeat the results, press 1. If you would like to leave a message and have a loan officer call you back, press 2. To end this call, press 3.
  • After the tone, please record your name, address, and telephone number, then press the # key.
